Turning
a flexspline
Application – Turning
The HYDRA Expansion Arbor is directly adapted to the machine spindle via a short taper interface. In this application the actuation is done via the tailstock/tailstock center of the machine. This has the positive effect that the expansion arbor is additionally supported by the tailstock. The thin-walled component is constantly and uniformly clamped in the bore. This allows the highest form and position tolerances to be achieved.
- Operation by the
tailstock of the machine - Flanged mount
- High concentricity and repeat accuracy
- Uniformly dosed and low-deformation clamping
- 360° tension – over the entire length
- Insensitive to dirt
